We had a tough April at Mystic Ranch. The afternoon of the Pear Blossom Parade, Kami tripped into a squirrel tunnel going down a hill and fell on top of me giving me a bad concussion and five broken ribs and injuring her left shoulder. I was air lifted to the hospital and she was led 3 legged lame back home. A week after I got out of the hospital, I had surgery for breast cancer. I can confidently state that breast cancer surgery hurts less than 5 broken ribs. A couple of weeks later, Lacey got too close to a horse and got kicked in the head, nearly losing her right eye. Enough already!
